- Johannesburg Mayor Geoff Makhubo has unveiled the land which is in a region to be ragged to rental relocated residents in congested Covid-19 hotspots.
- Makhubo acknowledged 1 600 of us in Wards 109 and 108 could be relocated in the subsequent four months.

As Covid-19 conditions spike in Gauteng, particularly in Johannesburg, Mayor Geoff Makhubo says the programme need to be implemented quickly, in conjunction with that he has been given a time body of four months.

On Friday, Makhubo published the land which could be ragged to relocate residents from Wards 109 and 108 (made up of Marlboro, Eastgate, Kelvin, Wendywood, Morningside Manor and Alexandra).
“We realised… that some locations, it’s good to’t note social distancing. As phase of our intervention, we decided to title some areas here in Marlboro, Zandspruit, Ivory Park [and] Soweto, where we are able to be relocating some communities,” he acknowledged.
“In four months, the indispensable project will be on the ground and we are able to be intelligent of us from Ward 109 and 108 into this programme.”

Makhubo added that residents would take care of in the brief location for 3 to five years.
“We name them brief residential devices (TRU), but brief could be one thing as much as three years or so, whereas we gaze everlasting solutions. Endure in thoughts the housing project will have to four or five years so, for between three and five years, of us will be here in brief.
